چکیده

Wastewater treatment is an important environmental problem of the national economy any country. Therefore, increasing efficiency wastewater through use innovative technologies and equipment becoming relevant. Basically, for biological from organic biogenic pollution, aerotanks with different aeration systems are used. The mass transfer mixture waste water activated sludge accounts up to 80 % operating costs. article deals problems using thermal physics in by intensifying process accelerating oxidation reaction. intensification occurs due impact on treated medium (waste water) input energy discrete-pulse method. method implemented new heat equipment, namely a rotary-type aerator-oxidizer (AORT). A diagram technological scheme this apparatus presented. procedure has been developed determining volumetric coefficient oxygen gas phase liquid during treatment. number studies have carried out dependence concentration dissolved cycles at: angular speed rotation rotor unit; frequencies flow pulsations; shear rates. It shown that maximum reached 1–2 passes processed mixture. thermophysical characteristics operation aeration-oxidation plant determined depending frequency pulsations. comparative assessment heat-mass exchange indicators modern devices used AORT installation it when installation, costs reduced 20 %.

Treatment Technologies for Organic Wastewater

There are several contaminants in wastewater, with organic pollutants playing the major role. Many kinds of organic compounds, such as PCBs, pesticides, herbicides, phenols, polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), aliphatic and hetercyclic compounds are included in the wastewater, and industrial and agricultural production as well as the people living could be the source of organic wastewater e...

Electrical Energy Management in Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant

In this study, the energy consumption of Nasirabad Industrial Park (NIP) treatment plant was evaluated. A combination of up-flow anaerobic baffled reactor (UABR) and aerobic integrated fixed-bed activated sludge (IFAS) processes were employed in NIP. To find out the average electrical energy use per m3 influent wastewater, the rate of energy usage of the plant was calculated by data ...

76 Wastewater Treatment Technologies in Nepal

Though the need for appropriate wastewater management technologies is undoubtedly a realized issue, so far there has been very little action taken towards wastewater treatment in Nepal. The centralized approaches of wastewater management have been unsuccessful as the existing traditional lagoons or activated sludge type wastewater treatment plants are not functioning or partially operating at f...
